An updated pergola in Tauranga

Over time, the elements had taken a toll on this residential pergola in Tauranga. Zones landscaping specialist Nigel Ramsden was contacted by the property owner and, after meeting for an initial consultation, was asked to replace the roof and improve the area leading up to it. With a clear understanding of what his client wanted to achieve, Nigel and his team brought the outdoor area back to life.

“The customer’s pergola roof was old and had deteriorated over the years”, explains Nigel. “We worked closely with him to understand what he wanted to achieve. He had completed all of his research and knew exactly what products he wanted - specifically a new Brustics sybreed roof.”

Because his client had such a clear idea of what he wanted, Nigel and his team were able to quickly provide him with a fixed-quote of $3,800 and a timeframe of two days. Happy with the proposal, Nigel’s client gave his approval for work to begin. 

“The ply on the old roof needed replacing”, tells Nigel. “The customer also wanted to link the pergola with some paving, to match the existing paving around the property. We also cleaned the paving under the roof and re-grouted the area with pavelock.”

The refreshed outdoor area is now a great place from which to enjoy the beautiful views of Bethlehem and provides a fantastic shaded location to host social gatherings. Most importantly, Nigel completed the project according to his client’s exact specifications.
