How we can continue landscaping during Covid-19

During the lockdown, Zones Landscaping is offering:

• Design services
• Planning services
• Emergency Services

What you can expect from us

While the country is in lockdown, our landscaping specialists will continue to operate, but all consultations will happen via video calls.

During the FREE initial consultation, you can show us your space via video call and explain to us what you are wanting to achieve. Zones will then walk you through the process of planning your design phase during this lockdown period.

If you like what you hear, we can move on to the Concept Design and Estimation stage where we will get our design team involved. Your Zones landscaping specialist will guide you on how to measure up and provide us with any additional information so that we can examine the feasibility of your idea, and consequently, provide you with a project estimate.

Zones will then develop a detailed design which will allow us to create a timeframe, a fixed-quote, and advise you of any potential consent consents. If there is anything you’re not happy with during this stage, everything, including the cost, can still be refined by making further amendments to the design!

We know it can take 4-12 weeks to get to the build stage. This means you may or may not be ready to go once the lockdown period is over, but you’ll certainly be much closer to getting your project underway than you would be if you started after the lockdown is lifted.

Emergency work

Based on what your local authorities class as an “essential service”, Zones will continue to provide support and complete projects that may be a danger to you and those around you. This can include a leaking swimming pool or a tree collapsing onto your home.

New Zealand: According to the New Zealand Herald, “Building and construction related to maintaining human health and safety at home or work” are considered an essential service.

US: As each state has its own lockdown guidelines, please check with your local renovation specialist for expert advice.

During:

By doing everything through video calls, we are taking care of both your safety and ours! This also helps us in moving forward and progressing things stage by stage—right up until build.

What if I have a project underway?

When the lockdown is over and local authorities have advised that it is safe to return to work, we will promptly complete your project. Your Landscaping Specialist will have ensured the site is up to safety standards and communicated this to you. If you do have any concerns, please reach out to us.

After this is over:

The build can progress and we will organise and project manage your landscaping project to the end. We’ll update you on the timeframes along with what contractors will be at your home and when!

What precautions will we be taking still health and safety-wise when the lockdown is over?

When working on your project, Zones will be following all recommendations from local authorities. Our teams will follow stringent processes to ensure your health and safety and theirs is not compromised. We will update our policies further based on any new information we are provided with.

Suppliers

We have strong relationships with many suppliers and are working closely with them to ensure there are no delays with receiving products and installing them once the lockdown period is over. They have reassured us that they are still receiving new shipments.
