Announcing the WINNER of the Makita Cordless Leaf Blower!

Today we’re happy to announce that Anita McCloskey will be taking home the Makita Cordless Leaf Blower!

She worked with landscaping specialist Rose Bridge to create a design with hopes of achieving greater accessibility around their sloped grassy section, as well as increasing the property’s street appeal and making it feel more private and secure. Anita loved the design so much that she decided to go through with the build!

Rose and her team designed an attractive new entrance path from the footpath to their front porch that also connects with the parking area on the driveway and to the south of the property. Installing a smart new automated wooden vehicle gate and matching pedestrian gate was also a part of the design brief.

“Another priority that was worked into the design after the consultation with our builder and excavator was to level out the back lawn in the most feasible way to make it a more usable space,” reveals Rose. Given the slope of the section, two areas of retaining were required to achieve the desired outcome.

Rose also developed a comprehensive planting plan to soften all the hardscaping around the section, which included fencing, a paved path, terraced timber stairs, and retaining walls. Rose’s team also replaced some of the trees that had to be removed.
